We Did It Again...

We had yet another hyper-scheduled day in our weekend.

First on our agenda was an afternoon wedding.

Followed by a brunch reception.
They gave jars of honey for the favors!
It was such a beautiful day for a wedding!  I bet they were so glad they decided on a Sunday wedding since yesterday was so cold and rainy.

After the wedding, we went straight to a horse race track to watch the races.  Ayden loved it!

David's parents' treated us to dinner and then David got started on cutting the wood for our chicken coop until it got dark.  After such a busy day, Ayden was ready for bed and fell asleep so quickly!

When we are feeling the exhaustion after a weekend like this we always wonder why we did it to ourselves, yet again...  The fact of the matter is, we simply LOVE life.  There is so much to see, do and experience.  If you ask me, it is a pretty good predicament to be in.  We have a couple of things scheduled for Saturday next weekend but Sunday is wide open.  I'm thinking a day doing projects around the house will be in order.  That is, as long as something more exciting doesn't come up!  Haha.

Do you have an issue with hyper-scheduling your weekends?  How do you find balance between all of the wonderful things there are out there and relaxation?  For a family who likes to keep life simple, we aren't always the best at actually doing that.  What can I say?  Life is always a work in progress...
