Sorting It All Out

We had a good first night in our cottage!!  Getting a grasp on the location of our essentials really helped us get ready this morning. Now we just have to work on unpacking the rest here and there as we have time in the midst of all this recital chaos. No big external hurry or timeline so we are taking it easy. We know it will all sort itself out with time. We'll find a groove again and pick up old, and possibly new, routines. One thing we do know, this was the right choice for us. Seeing the sunlight stream through the windows is a big difference from the darkness of our basement at my parents' house. That alone is making a positive change in how we feel.

Speaking of sorting it all out, Ayden seemed to master his shape sorter over night. David has been working with him on it and this morning he sat down and just did it like it was no big deal. It was funny when he didn't take the time to find he right spot for a piece he'd grunt like he was trying to push it in so hard and it just wouldn't go.

We had a great day. We ran our weekly errands today so I could just focus on helping out with recital stuff tomorrow.  Tomorrow is leotard rehearsal, Friday is dress rehearsal and Saturday is the big show!  I had another alumni rehearsal today and didn't get home until 10:00. David put Ayden to bed again and when I got home they were cuddled up in bed together. So sweet. I love my boys so much!!
